Bachelor of Architecture (Hons) 2011 - University College Dublin.
Diploma in Urban Design & Sustainable Architecture 2009 - AHO School of Architecture & Design, Oslo.
Bachelor of Architectural Science (Hons) 2008 - University College Dublin.
David has worked on projects overseas and locally which have varied in scale, function and complexity, ranging from large scale commercial developments and mixed use residential to community based projects such as centres for education and cultural development. This diverse experience has allowed David to develop and enhance his technical understanding of architectural and construction principles as well as building up strong relationships with clients.
Years in the Industry
As well as several years of experience overseas, David has 4 years local experience in architectural practice. He joined Alasdair Macdonald Architects in May 2016.
Projects - Commercial/Industrial
David is currently the Project Architect/Team Lead for the Explosive Ordnance Pallet Build Facility and Counter Measures Facilities for the C17 Project. The C17 Project has provided David with an appreciation and understanding of how Defence operate and the level of documentation and reporting required to deliver the various phases of the project.
Special Interest in the Industry
David is highly motivated and a strong communicator. David has an intuitive understanding of client needs and various stakeholder requirements. He is skilled in managing consultants and working with them to deliver well detailed, functional, and co-ordinated buildings to client requirements.
