Qantas Hangar 2 Upgrade, Brisbane

Hangar 2 is Qantas' new B737/A320 heavy maintenance facility. It was designed to optimise operation flows and productivity by providing flexible work areas and clear vision between workshops, administration and the hangar space.

AMA was engaged to provide new buildings and refurbish and upgrade the existing facilities. Works included; new 7000sqm mezzanine within the hangar, new docking, new hangar doors, refurbishment of the administration areas and workshops, new resource provisioning building, new fire pump house and holding tanks and car parking.

The facility was delivered on time and budget and was a very successful project for the client and the design team.
